Family Time at Thanksgiving
Hi friend! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just two weeks away?
Ben and I were just saying how fast the Fall season is flying by. November is here for real. It was 20 F yesterday morning with a real feel temp of 9 F! The leaves are mostly gone, we are knee deep in farm maintenance projects, and the to-do list before Thanksgiving feels big. :)

Little Sleep + Hard Work: the milking parlor renovation
Happy Friday! Whew, what a week! On Tuesday, we put in a 21 hour day and renovated our milking parlor (again). If you have been with us a while, you'll remember that we built a Swing 20 New Zealand style milking parlor in 2021. That parlor replaced our original 6 stanchion parlor that we started with in 2017.
Spreading Compost
On Friday, a fellow farmer brought his equipment and manure spreader to spread composted manure onto the fields.
It took most of the day, as it was a big compost pile we had been building, and it felt great to see what some call “waste” that we view as nutrients being added to the soil life on our farm!
Raw Milk FAQ’s
New to raw milk? Here are the top FAQ's!
Q. What does raw milk taste like?
A. Creambrook's high quality, wholesome raw milk is sweet and creamy. We work very hard to keep the cows on pastures and forages that make delicious milk and has consistently amazing flavor. No onions for the cows to get into here ;) And each farm's raw milk has a unique flavor!
Bringing in the Harvest
This was our biggest harvest yet, at 80 acres of chopped feed. Why does this matter to us? As a grass-based raw milk dairy, we pour hours and research and implementation into feeding our cows the best nutrition possible.
What Makes Creambrook Raw Milk Different
It all begins with the humble dairy cow.
She takes green grass grown by the sun’s warmth and plentiful rains and turns it into one of nature’s most nutrient-dense foods.
Raw Milk, often touted as a superfood, is quickly gaining momentum in kitchens across the nation — but what exactly is in a cup of raw milk? Let’s dive in.
At Creambrook, we sent our winter raw milk to be tested at a nutritional lab and were thrilled to see the results confirmed of what we have known for years.
There are significant differences in raw milk versus its pasteurized milk counterparts — it’s not just at the macro-level.
The First Raw Milk Cartons!
After six months of effort, delays, challenges, set backs and two trips to Chicago (whew!), we are thrilled to announce that we have completed the process of setting up our new-to-us Carton Filler.
Creambrook Farm is the first raw milk dairy to fill Milk Cartons in the US.
Celebrating 8 Years at Creambrook
May 22nd // Today marks 8 years since we bought our farm! Ben and I were in our 20's, had two young boys, and scraped everything together to risk it on a fledgling dairy business.
