Family Time at Thanksgiving

Hi friend! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just two weeks away?

Ben and I were just saying how fast the Fall season is flying by. November is here for real. It was 20 F yesterday morning with a real feel temp of 9 F! The leaves are mostly gone, we are knee deep in farm maintenance projects, and the to-do list before Thanksgiving feels big. :)

If you haven't heard, Thanksgiving is our big holiday in the Beichler family. Since we got married almost fourteen years ago, Ben and I have hosted his siblings for Thanksgiving. Now, the group has grown to 20 adults and 18 children eleven years old and under. It is a four-day, crazy fun holiday where we cook a lot of food and race homemade go carts in a field. The little cousins have joined in the racing for the past couple of years, too. It's a fun time, everyone pitches in to make meals and organize things, and the kids love it.

A few years ago, Ben wrote a blog post about making family events fun. We know that sometimes getting family together around the holidays can be the most stressful time of the year, unfortunately. I am sharing his post below in case it would inspire you to re-imagine your family gatherings and create a common hobby or activity that brings the family together.

I'm also sharing some Thanksgiving recipes below! Warm up your kitchen and make something new.

We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!
