Sweet Land to Creambrook FAQ

  • ...Your first delivery with Creambrook Farm's milk will be the week of July 14th.

At that point, your pick-up location and delivery time should remain the same and Robby and our Sweet Land Farm drivers will still be servicing your route and pick-up site for the next few months.

  • Your current pick up location site, pick up hours, and current routine will remain the same. Robby and the Sweet Land Farm drivers that you already know will continue to deliver your herd shares to the pick up locations, so the familiarity and consistent service that you know and enjoy will continue through the coming months.

In the future there may be adjustments to your routes with advanced notice, but for the coming months it will remain the same.

  • Yes! Creambrook Farm tests all batches of raw milk on-site like Sweet Land Farm.

Additionally, Creambrook tests through two independent third-party labs which test for four main pathogens: e.coli, salmonella, campylobacter, and listeria. Safety and raw milk quality is their highest priority, as it has always been ours.

Creambrook Farm will provide you with the highest quality raw milk. Excitingly, Creambrook Farm is a Raw Milk Institute Listed farm that is certified by RAWMI for quality, accountability, monthly test result submission, and raw milk education.

  • Similar to the cows at Sweet Land Farm, Creambrook’s cows are outside in the fields 365 days a year. They rotationally graze fresh pastures during the growing season,  approximately 300 days per year.

When the cows require a supplemental boost to their fresh grass pasture in times where the pasture is lacking in essential nutrients, Creambrook mixes a fresh batch of feed for them consisting of hay, fermented hay, corn-free and soy-free grains, and minerals to make sure these lactating and pregnant animals get everything they need to make the most nutrient dense milk for you.

All of Creambrook’s feed & pastures are non-GMO. Their 100% Jersey cow herd enjoys clean, never sprayed pasture year round.

  • Robby will be joining the Creambrook Team as the Regional Director for the Southwest Virginia Region. During this transition your communications will still be with the Sweet Land Team. For the next several months Robby will be running all of the Sweet Land Farm routes and distribution.

  • Similarly to Sweet Land Farm, Creambrook Farm’s milk stays sweet and fresh tasting for 7-10 from delivery.

As always, it is important to keep your milk cold in transport home and in your fridge. When the milk is not kept cold enough, it will sour much faster.

  • Creambrook Farm uses traditional milk cartons, so you won't have to worry about cleaning and returning them each week; just recycle them when you are done. This gives you one less thing to worry about each week.

    From Sweet Land:

“There are many things to love about glass, however in the 4 years since we began bottling in glass we have found many downsides as well: every single employee has needed stitches at one point.

Not only have we at the creamery seen the dangers of glass bottles, but many members have also seriously injured themselves needing trips to the ER.

Multiple times a week members write in to tell us their bottle has broken accidentally and needs replacement milk to hold them over.

Glass bottles also freeze and burst in the winter leaving members milkless on cold weeks, not to mention when the handles break or a bottle clanks they break and leave terrible messes at pick up locations, backs of vehicles, your kitchen floors, and front porches.

These traditional cartons provide a durable, sustainable, safe, and convenient option that we think is a fantastic new feature of your milk service.”

  • We thought you all would be excited to know that despite every food seeming to cost more these days, Creambrook Farm's milk will save you money each week! Creambrook's milk is $6.99 per half gallon.

The total number of herd shares you currently own with Sweet Land Farm will transfer over to your Creambrook Farm account.

  • Absolutely, Creambrook Farm's excellent customer service team can make any of these changes for you. Simply email rawmilk@creambrookfarm.com 7 days in advance for any changes you need to make.

  • You need to re-enter your payment information to continue receiving milk. Creambrook Farm and Sweetland Farm both use Farmigo. You will still have a Farmigo account with the same email & password but it will be accessed via this specific link HERE

Creambrook offers the options of debit on delivery or a prepaid credit that you will see once you log in to the account.

A little bit about us: we are Ben and Kristen Beichler, and together with our five young boys and our Jersey cows, we own and run Creambrook Farm in the rolling hills of Middlebrook, VA.
